The Posters, Demos, and Artwork track of IndiaHCI 2025 welcomes students and professionals from various disciplines to collaborate in advancing Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) for positive social impact. The track is dedicated to promoting and featuring innovative early-stage research ideas, novel interactive prototypes and Proof of Concepts (PoCs), and creative artworks.
The track serves as a common platform for students, researchers, industry practitioners, artists, and art professionals to come together as an interdisciplinary community exploring the transforming interface and interaction between humans and technology, in line with the conference theme of Transhumanism in HCI—where technology elevates the human condition. The submissions will be evaluated for novelty, creativity and relevance towards the theme. The shortlisted works will be allowed to exhibit their tech demo or interactive arts installations along with their posters. Authors may kindly note that the submissions are not subject to publication in the proceedings.
April 22, 2025: Submission portal opens
July 15, 2025: Submission closes
July 31,2025: Extended submission deadline
September 8, 2025: Decision notification

Posters
Poster submissions encourage works that propose creative interaction designs, novel concepts, advanced techniques, and early-stage results. The authors are requested to submit the following:
A 2-page (excluding references) write-up using the single-column ACM format (Latex, Overleaf, Word). The write-up must include the
Problem Statement
Motivation
Proposed Solution
Results (optional)
Reference (if any)
Full-size poster design in PDF.
The recommended physical size is 841 mm x 1189 mm (A0) in portrait orientation.
Download Poster Template (PPT)
Optional Supplementary materials like videos, prototype links, etc. should not exceed 300 MB in file size.
Upon acceptance, atleast one author needs to register for the conference and bring the physical poster to be put up and presented at the conference.
Demos
Demo submissions encourage working prototypes, immersive media technology (AR/VR/XR), tools, narrative experiences, UX applications, interactive games, devices, and allied systems. Demos are expected to be brief and robust enough to be shown repeatedly for effective interaction. The authors are requested to submit the following:
A 2-page write-up + references using the single-column ACM format (Latex, Overleaf, Word). The write-up must include the

Exhibitions and Art Installations
Exhibitions and Artwork submissions encourage creative concepts, including digital and physical arts, immersive/interactive arts, performances, storytelling experiences, experimental artworks using HCI, and allied domains. The standard Interactivity booth is approximately 2.5 meters * 2.5 meters; if your demo requires more space, please ensure that your floor plan reflects this. As a standard, the organizers will provide you with a table, WiFi, and electrical outlets. You are also required to express your request at the time of submissions in case you want to need additional resources. The authors are requested to submit the following:

All submitted posters, demos, and artworks will be reviewed by the India HCI Posters and Demo chairs and the Reviewing Committee members based on their originality, relevance, potential impact and its feasibility at the venue. The track will follow a juried process and will not consist of a rebuttal phase. Thus, only the final decision will be communicated to the authors without individual reviews.
Authors of accepted submissions will receive further guidance regarding the exhibition of their posters/demos/artworks and logistical details. At Least one author will be required to register for the conference and participate in the conference to put up their work/poster at the conference venue. For demos, early access to the venue and technical setup will be arranged before the conference to ensure a smooth experience.
Anonymity
Poster /Demo submissions are not anonymous. Author names and institutions will be visible to the reviewing committee throughout the submission process.
Certification
The authors of the accepted works will be provided with a certificate of participation. The top three works will be acknowledged and certified. For each accepted work, at least one author will have to register for the conference and attend the conference, to demonstrate the work.
